The core question that drives JoJo Mason’s approach to music and life is, ‘Why not? That heavily influenced his most recent single, “Bottom Shelf”; an immensely hooky, upbeat country soul track that found the Vancouver-based country artist exploring a new musical direction grounded in his long time musical fascinations and unfailingly positive outlook.

 

In the roughly two years since Mason’s released new material, he has taken the opportunity to reinvent himself, expanding on his signature take with a country soul sound that’s a rarity these days.

 

“The best thing about being an artist is you get to try so many different things, and country music is so accepting and eclectic. Incorporating my love for soul and Motown, growing as an artist, experimenting, and showing different sides of who I am - that’s my jam. Since breaking into the Canadian country music scene 9 years ago, JoJo Mason has been on a continued mission to find his own unique voice and connect with fans through his music.
